About the software

GerbView ™ allows you to view and print Gerber, ODB++ and Adobe PDF files.

GerbView supports both RS-274D Gerber and RS-274X Gerber formats. It can also be used to convert Gerber files to RS-274X Extended format. This extended Gerber format features embedded aperture information. This format reduces the possibility of making mistakes during manufacturing.

GerbView’s PDF-to-CAD capability allows you to convert Adobe PDF files into Gerber or Autodesk FXF.

Gerbview will visualize your design, on the screen or in hardcopy. Your true design is now available online. To check apertures, distances, and tools with the query and measure tools, you can use them.

GerbView can be used to create a workspace. It can contain one or several files from any of the supported file format. You can save the workspace for later use. The workspace saved will link to your design files. To see the entire design, you only need to reload it.

To the workspace, you can add markup elements like text and barcodes to arrows. Lines, images, ellipses or polygons can also be added. All markup elements can easily be burned in and made part of a Gerber Layer. This feature allows you to easily add text or barcode images directly to a layer.

GerbView can rasterize single files, or whole workspaces, and save to one of the supported raster formats.

You may print scaled or in real size. All Windows-based plotters and printers can be supported. You can use poster mode (also called tiled page) to print large designs and drawings, such as on several smaller A4/Letter-sized pages.

• View, print, edit, markup and convert Gerber and Adobe PDF to Excellon, ODB++, Gerber and HPGL/2 (PLT).
• Convert your Gerber, Excellon, ODB++ and HPGL/2 files to Autodesk DXF, Adobe PDF and other formats.
